Winner: Craft Challenge and Card Design Challenge

"A Pigeon Toast"... This is absolutely one of my favorite stamps by Gerda Steiner Designs!

So, this card actually won in two entirely different contests. First it won a card design challenge hosted by Gerda Steiner Designs. I was actually surprised that it won as this was only the second time to make a "shaker" card - a card made so that glitter and small embellishments can move around in the card.

I entered this card in another contest hosted by Austin Creative Reuse. Challenge was rethinking/reusing small plastics. I don't actually buy plastic domes (the upraised plastic) for my cards. I just reuse plastic domes from packaged items that I've bought. I'm recycling plastic that would otherwise be put in the landfill. This is a win-win (literally).

Pigeon Toast for Boss Day

My absolutely favorite stamp sets ("Pigeons" and  "A toast to you") from Gerda Steiner Designs (not sponsored).

Used Recollections 4"x6" white card base as the base. Picked paper and tags from Craft Smart "Mint to be" paper pad. Cut to size and glued onto the Card base using Bearly Art glue. Used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the pigeon stuck in the toast on the card, the standing pigeon (no toast) on the back of the envelope, and then stamped the partial guy on the front of the envelope.

I love adding an element on the outside of the envelope that matches something on the inside. It makes the card fun from beginning to end.

Colored the images with my Ohuhu alcohol markers: Y593, YR596, BG050, MG020.

Here's a toast to you for looking at this blog. ;)

Halloween Card 2022: You've Been Tagged

 HALLOWEEN 2022!

"Falling Witch"

Another 36 cards. No new techniques, but I made up with that by having to glue on a million tiny embellishments! This time I replaced the "orange cheeto fingertips" with the "dried skin" look due to all the dried glue on my fingers. It's always something. I had bought a Halloween paper pad from Michaels and used all those "tags" from the pad to make these cards.
